Conference Summary
The WSATA 2012 Conference will provide a wave of information from engaging speakers to breakout sessions and cover topics on tax administration issues, new and innovative programs, and include an array of vendors that will all add value to your operations. Come and learn what other states are doing and share your lessons learned.
SUNDAY: Registration–Golf Tournament–Welcome Reception
Sunday will begin with a round of golf at Lakewood Country Club in Lakewood, California. Lakewood Country Club is a beautiful, championship layout that combines 11 acres of water and lakes to create a very scenic course that is near Long Beach. Lakewood Country Club features challenging par 3s, an abundance of new sand bunkers, poa greens, bermuda grass on tees and fairways. See our Golf page for more exciting details.
Sunday evening, we will be hosting a Welcome Reception at the Crowne Plaza Hotel to give everyone a chance to meet and socialize with all the conference attendees. See our Schedule-at-a-Glance page for all the planned activity times and locations.
MONDAY: Conference Begins
Start your Monday off with our conference’s complimentary breakfast for registered attendees and registered guests. The conference will begin with a general session to welcome all our attendees. The afternoon will include a hosted buffet lunch for all registered attendees and registered guests before choosing between our three breakout sessions of topics. On Monday evening, take the time to enjoy all that the Redondo Beach area has to offer, such as the Redondo Pier, local restaurants and shops, and walk to Hermosa Beach’s local restaurants and pubs using “The Strand Bike Path” located right on the beach. TUESDAY: Conference Continues–Dinner Cruise
On Tuesday, enjoy our hearty complimentary breakfast followed by Day 2 of the Conference. Day 2 will continue with additional breakout sessions with a hosted buffet lunch to keep everyone energized and participating.
Relax and enjoy Tuesday night with an all inclusive Dinner Cruise on board a FantaSeas Yacht in Marina Del Rey. A bus will whisk us from the hotel to the Marina Del Rey Harbor, so get ready to set sail and enjoy the view of the ocean, a beautiful sunset, indulge in a delicious dinner, and get to know your fellow attendees. WEDNESDAY: Half Day–End of Conference
For our last conference day, start off with our complimentary breakfast. Our conference will conclude with a half day of a general session meeting. Please review the Agenda page for more detailed information on presentations and topics. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone in Redondo Beach!
