Streamlined Sales Tax Project

The Streamlined Sales Tax Project (SSTP) is an effort created by state governments, with input from local governments and the private sector, to simplify and modernize sales and use tax collection and administration. California is not currently actively participating in the SSTP but does receive updates on the actions of the project from the Multistate Tax Commission (MTC).

For questions or comments regarding the SSTP, please contact Mr. Larry Bergkamp, Board of Equalization, Sales and Use Tax Department, at 916-322-7281, e-mail: larry.bergkamp@boe.ca.gov or P.O. Box 942879, MIC 92, Sacramento, CA 94279-0092.
