September 7, 2001 Customer & Taxpayer Service Division Free Fair Offered For San Gabriel Valley Small Business Owners John Chiang, Vice Chair, State Board of Equalization (BOE), announced today that several federal, state, and local government agencies will team up to offer a free, one-day tax fair to San Gabriel Valley area small businesses. Designed to be a one-stop source of business and tax information for small business owners, these fairs have been met with rave reviews. Business owners receive a wealth of information and are given the opportunity to talk to the experts. If you are a small business owner, you won't want to miss this fair.
The San Gabriel Valley Small Business Fair will start at 8:30 a.m. with opening remarks by Mr. Chiang at 9:00 a.m. Congressmember Grace Napolitano, representing the 34th District, is also scheduled to address the small businesses in attendance. The fair will include general information sessions, as well as workshops tailored to suit the needs of the small business owner.
Representatives of the BOE, Employment Development Department, Franchise Tax Board, Internal Revenue Service, Small Business Development Center, as well as other local, state, and federal agencies will be present to answer taxpayer questions.
