Claude Parrish, Vice Chairman, State Board of Equalization (BOE), announced today that the BOE has established a Sales and Use Tax Department satellite office in Kearny Mesa. The office, which opened for business on September 1, 2000, is located in the San Diego County Assessor's office at 5473 Kearny Villa Road, Suite 300, San Diego, CA 92123.

Office hours of the new satellite office are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The new telephone number is (858) 636-3191; the FAX number is (858) 636-3192.

The satellite office will provide sales and use tax information and assistance to local business owners. Taxpayers may also obtain services at BOE offices in San Diego, San Marcos, and El Centro.

Callers with general tax information questions can also call the BOE's toll-free Customer Service Information Center at1-800-400-7115. The Information Center is open between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding State holidays. Information and forms are also available on the BOE's website at www.boe.ca.gov
