Monterey Bay Small Business Seminar
Are you a business owner who is feeling overwhelmed by tax laws and reporting requirements? Perhaps you're unsure if you can claim exemptions, or would like to know how to obtain a small business loan. In an effort to help your business succeed, Johan Klehs, Vice-Chair, State Board of Equalization (BOE), announced today that several federal, state, and local government agencies, in a collaborative effort, will team up on Monday, September 23, 2002, to offer Monterey Bay area businesses a free, one-day tax seminar.
Don't miss this special opportunity to participate in a variety of free informational tax seminars, obtain valuable tax information, and converse with various tax experts regarding your specific business needs.
The tax seminar will start at 8:30 a.m. with opening remarks provided by Mr. Klehs and Don Hallenbeck, IRS Area Director. The seminar will include general information sessions, as well as workshops tailored to suit the needs of the small business owner.
Some of the topics to be presented include:
Representatives of the BOE, Employment Development Department, Franchise Tax Board, Internal Revenue Service, Small Business Administration, and other local, state, and federal agencies will be present to answer taxpayer questions.
