NR# 34-A Board of Equalization Announces Free Sacramento Taxpayer Service Day for Small Business Owners The State Board of Equalization (BOE) announced today that several federal, state, and local government agencies will team up to offer a free one-day tax seminar to Sacramento area small businesses. Designed to be a one-stop source of business and tax information for small business owners, these events have been met with exceptional reviews. If you are a small business owner, you won't want to miss this event! You will receive a wealth of information and be given the opportunity to talk to the experts.
Registration for the taxpayer service day will start at 8:30 a.m. with opening remarks by Ms. Freda Orendt-Evans, Chief of Field Operations, Sales and Use Tax Department, at 9:00 a.m. The seminar will include general information sessions, as well as specific workshops tailored to suit the needs of business owners. Representatives of the BOE, Employment Development Department, Franchise Tax Board, Internal Revenue Service, and Small Business Administration, as well as other local, state, and federal agencies, will be present to answer taxpayer questions.
