Chiang Announces Los Angeles Small
Business Seminar Scheduled for February 9, 2001
John Chiang, Member, State Board of Equalization (BOE) announced today that several federal, state and local government agencies will team up to offer a free, one-day tax seminar to Los Angeles area businesses. The seminar is designed to be a one-stop source of business and tax information for small business owners.

The tax seminar will start at 8:30 A.M. with opening remarks by Mr. Chiang and Assemblymember George Nakano. The seminar will include general information sessions as well as workshops tailored to suit the needs of the small business owner.

Representatives of the BOE, Employment Development Department, Franchise Tax Board, Internal Revenue Service, Small Business Development Center, as well as other local, state and federal agencies will be present to answer taxpayer questions.
