2017 Taxpayers' Bill of Rights Hearings in Irvine July 27

Sacramento – Anyone with ideas, suggestions, or concerns about the administration and oversight of California's property tax is invited to attend the Board of Equalization's (BOE) annual Taxpayers' Bill of Rights hearing in Irvine on July 27, 2017. Attendees may speak directly to the elected Members of the Board of Equalization.

When:
Thursday, July 27, 2017, no earlier than 1:30 p.m.

Where:
Irvine Civic Center
1 Civic Center Plaza
Irvine, CA 92606

The hearing will be held to receive public input regarding property taxes. Those interested in attending are invited to contact the BOE Taxpayers' Rights Advocate Office by calling toll-free 1-888-324-2798, or visit us online. The hearings will also be broadcast live.

Enacted in 1994, the Morgan Property Taxpayers' Bill of Rights requires the BOE to ensure that the rights of California Taxpayers are protected during the assessment and collection of property taxes. The Board is required by law to conduct public Bill of Rights hearings annually.
