HORTON: Ms. Richmond, our next item. 6 MS. RICHMOND: Our next item is P, Other 7 Administrative Matters. P1, Executive -- Executive 8 Director's Report, CROS Project Update and Actions. 9 MR. HORTON: Uh, Mr. Steen, would you please 10 come forward? 11 MR. STEEN: Good afternoon, Mr. Chairman and 12 Honorable Members. Eric Steen, CROS Project Director. 13 I'm very pleased to report to you some -- some 14 good news. We've achieved a -- achieved a significant 15 milestone. The CROS Project has finished and delivered 16 the request for information and, uh, sent that out to 17 the vendor community; that represents five of nine of 18 the sections of the RFP. And what we hope to do is 19 elicit feedback from the vendor community so that we can 20 even further refine the final RFP that will be scheduled 21 to deliver, uh, in October, pending General Services' 22 approval, to the vendor community. So it's a -- it's a 23 significant milestone, and I'm pleased to report that to 24 you today. 25 Now, in addition to the RFI, we are a hundred 26 percent complete with the draft of the RFP. So that is 27 completed and we will convey that to General Services 28 and the California Technology Agency today. 3 1 Um, and I'd like to also add that the 2 Department of General Services has been very 3 complimentary of the quality of the work that has gone 4 into the RFP. So, not only is this a significant 5 milestone, but they -- they've highlighted the good 6 work, the quality of work that we have done which, I 7 would say, is a credit to the organization and the CROS 8 Project and your support. So, thank you very much. 9 I'd like to mention a few words about our 10 partnering with the control agencies. Uh, the 11 Department of Finance is helping us refine the 12 compensation model which is one of the sections within 13 the RFP. We've been out there a couple of times to 14 present the compensation model. And then there's an 15 ongoing dialogue with them to help us make sure that 16 that is, uh, in the state that it needs to be to protect 17 the interests of the State of California as well as 18 the -- the vendor that we're fortunate enough to partner 19 with during implementation. 20 We've also, um, done everything to meet and 21 continue to meet the California Technology Agency and 22 other control agencies' stipulations of the Special 23 Project Report. So that seems to be going along very 24 well. 25 And then lastly, I just want to highlight, um, 26 that we're making forward progress on the parallel 27 initiatives, data conversion, as well as the interfaces 28 which I'm confident will pay significant dividends in 4 1 the years to come. 2 Thus ends my report.
