HORTON: Ms. Olson. 6 MS. OLSON: Our next item is P1.1, CROS Project 7 Update and Actions. 8 MR. HORTON: Uh, thank you. 9 Mr. McGuire, would you please present. 10 MR. MCGUIRE: Yes. Good morning, Members. I'm 11 Jeff McGuire with the Sales and Use Tax Department on 12 behalf of Mr. Eric Steen who's our CROS Project 13 Director. I'll be providing the monthly update for you 14 on the CROS Project. 15 There are three areas I'll be covering today: 16 The project schedule, the IT procurement plan and some 17 related initiatives that we're working on. 18 Um, the first one related to the RFP, um, 19 according to Mr. Steen's latest report, we are on track 20 right now to have the final RFP delivered on October 21 22nd of this year. And currently the draft date 22 estimate is about 60 percent complete. So they're 23 working on that. 24 Um, with respect to the IT procurement plan, 25 Mr. Steen's report also stated that they have received 26 feedback from DGS. And DGS did recommend more time for 27 vendor responses and proposal evaluation. Um, we do 28 continue to interact with DGS on that, trying to keep 3 1 the schedule, you know, as short as possible. But based 2 on that feedback so far, they have, um, moved the intent 3 to award date, um, on the contract from January of 2014 4 to June of 2014 on our project schedule. 5 Um, with respect to the related initiatives, 6 Mr. Steen says they continue to move forward with the 7 data readiness and interfaces. Um, as I know he's 8 mentioned before, they're following this kind of 9 parallel project strategy to mitigate risks and be in a 10 better position to support the conversion and the 11 business intelligence. 12 That does conclude, uh, my remarks for 13 Mr. Steen. If you have any questions, I'd love to 14 answer those. If I can't, I will definitely pass those 15 along to Mr. Steen. 16 MR. HORTON: Members. 17 MS. YEE: Comment, Mr. Chair. 18 MR. Um, there was a question 20 that arose as to whether the Board still requires, uh, 21 monthly updates on the project, and I would encourage 22 that we continue to receive them. 23 MR. HORTON: Okay. 24 MS. YEE: Particularly with the, uh, time frame 25 for the, uh, RFP. Not in terms of the finalization, but 26 I think the more that the date gets pushed out with 27 respect to the award date, uh, the expectations are 28 going to be, uh, a little bit more difficult with 4 1 respect to certainly the revenue situation in California 2 and other's anticipation of our ability to deliver on 3 that. 4 MR.
