RUNNER: Thank you. 9 And I call the Property Tax Committee meeting 10 to order. 11 We have one item before us, the adoption of the 12 revised version The Guidelines for Appraiser 13 Certification Training. 14 And Dean Kinnee is here to provide us that 15 report. 16 Mr. Kinnee? 17 MR. KINNEE: Good morning, Committee. Dean 18 Kinnee with the Property and Special Taxes Department. 19 Also with me today is Miss Lisa Thompson, with the 20 Property and Special Taxes Department. Miss Thompson's 21 the Manager over our training and certification program. 22 Today we're asking the Committee to approve the 23 revised guidelines before them. The guidelines were 24 first adopted by the Board in 2003 to set forth in one 25 document the roles, responsibilities and expectations 26 for County assessors and their staff for obtaining and 27 maintaining appraiser certification. 28 In the fall of the 2010, staff initiated an 3 1 interested parties process to update the guidelines. We 2 sent out a draft to interested parties. 3 In January of this year we held an interested 4 parties to discuss the comments we received. We 5 resolved all language differences at that time. 6 The County Assessors' Association has approved 7 these guidelines at their January 2011 conference. 8 There's no issues that we know of at this time. 9 At this time we'll be happy to answer any 10 questions the Committee has and we ask that the 11 Committee approve the guidelines before them. 12 MR.
