            5            MR. HORTON:  Members, before we go into closed 

            6   session, just in essence of time, let me share with the 

            7   Members a bit of bad news and ask that we adjourn 

            8   today's meeting in honor of Brian Hutchinson.  

            9            Brian is an Office Supervisor II in our 

           10   Headquarters mail room, who passed away today very 

           11   suddenly, very young man.  I believe he was somewhere 

           12   around 40 years old.  

           13            He's been with the Board since October of 2000, 

           14   but he has a 29-year service record with the State of 

           15   California.  

           16            It -- so, our prayers and our condolence go out 

           17   to the family.  

           18            And when we return, we will adjourn the meeting 

           19   in his honor and in honor of the service to the State of 

           20   California as well as his family and those who know him.  

           21            We often understand that good-byes are very 

           22   difficult, but they're not necessarily forever and don't 

           23   necessarily reflect the end, it simply means that I'll 

           24   miss you so.  

           25            To Brian and his family, we will miss you until 

           26   we meet again.
