OLSON: Our next item is P3C1, Facilities 05 Update. 06 MS. HOUSER: Good morning, Madam Chair, 07 Members. I'm Liz Houser, Deputy Director of 08 Administration. 09 My first item is Facilities Update. The 10 remediation work at 450 N Street continues and the 11 Department of General Services now anticipates 12 completing the work by January 2011. 13 My second item is an update on the site search 14 for the headquarters annex locations to accommodate 600 15 to 700 employees who will move in three groups. 16 As reported last month, a lease for the first 17 group, which includes the motor carrier section of the 18 International Fuel Tax Agreements Unit has been signed. 19 The site is located at 1030 Riverside Parkway in West 20 Sacramento and a move date of May or June of 2010 is 21 anticipated. 22 The lease for the second group, which includes 23 Legal, Investigations, Board Proceedings and Media and 24 Web Design Services has been signed. Copies of the 25 leases are being forwarded to your offices. 26 The lease is located -- or the site is located 27 at 621 Capitol Mall in the U. S. Bank Tower building 28 here in Sacramento. And we anticipate a move in -- in 0004 01 the summer of 2010. 02 The U. S. Bank Tower building is within easy 03 walking distance of the BOE's office locations at 450 N 04 and 400 Capitol Mall. Its proximity provides for 05 business efficiencies and it meets our business needs. 06 We were very fortunate to secure a space in 07 this Class A building at the very reasonable price of 08 $2.51 a square foot. Since this is a privately owned 09 building, BOE will not be held responsible for paying 10 for any needed infrastructure repairs, which we all know 11 can be very expensive. 12 The lease for the third group, which includes 13 the County and State Assessed Property Division, the 14 Training Sections from both Sales and Use Tax and 15 Administration Divisions, and the Call Center, is in the 16 final phases of negotiations. 17 The potential site will meet our business 18 needs. We are hopeful for a lease in January and a move 19 date of fall or winter of 2010. 20 I would be happy to answer any questions you 21 have on the facility or the headquarters annex sites. 22 MS.
