            5            MS. OLSON:  Our next item is F1, timber yield 

            6   tax rate.  

            7            MS. YEE:  Good morning, Mr. Ingenito.

            8            MR. INGENITO:  Good morning, Madam Chair, 

            9   Members of the Board, I'm Robert Ingenito, Chief of the 

           10   Board's Research and Statistics Section.  

           11            The issue before you is the adoption of the 

           12   2010 timber yield tax rate.  It's based on the change in 

           13   the average rate of general property taxation between 

           14   the current year and the prior year for 17 affected 

           15   timber-related counties.  The rate's been 2.9 percent 

           16   since its inception back in 1982.  The reason it doesn't 

           17   change is because of Proposition 13. 

           18            The calculation's been done for the 2010 year 

           19   and we estimate that the rate will be at 2.9 percent.  

           20            We recommend the adoption of the 2.9 percent 

           21   rate.

           22            MS. YEE:  Thank you very much.  

           23            Mr. Leonard?

           24            MR. LEONARD:  I move adoption of the rate.  

           25            I want to commend Mr. Ingenito and Timber 

           26   Advisory Committee for the work they've done this year.

           27            MR. HORTON:  Second, ditto.
