Article 9. Permitting of Facilities
25200.18. Procedures for electronic reporting; compatibility. On or before July 1, 1996, or within six months of the adoption of electronic reporting standards by the Secretary for Environmental Protection pursuant to Section 71060 of the Public Resources Code, whichever occurs later, the department shall implement a procedure for the electronic reporting of all hazardous waste facilities permit modifications, to the extent that the secretary determines that the procedure is compatible with the electronic reporting standards adopted by the secretary, as follows:
(a) Permit modifications, at the option of the applicant, may be submitted electronically using the standard file format, transmission protocols, and electronic signature and authentication techniques adopted by the Secretary for Environmental Protection for other environmental data reporting purposes under Part 2 (commencing with Section 71050) of Division 34 of the Public Resources Code.
(b) Section 71063 of the Public Resources Code, which requires a pilot program demonstration and evaluation, does not apply to the electronic permit modification procedures adopted pursuant to this section.
