IFTA E-file (International Fuel Tax Agreement)

To access the IFTA E-file program, you will need to register as an E-Client , by providing a data element from a Renewal Application For IFTA License And Decals that you filed for the current year or a previous year:

Return Codes
1. Period Code (4 numerical digits) Put this in the first box.
2. Check Digit (1 numerical or symbolic digit) Put this in the second box.

E-file using the Express Code and Account Number

  1. E-file using the Express Code (6 numerical and 2 alpha characters). Put this in the first box.
  2. Account Number (8 numerical digits). Put this in the second box.

  • If you do not have a Renewal Application For IFTA License And Decals, please Contact Us
  • If you are an Authorized User (Bookkeeper, CPA, Employee or anyone the owner of the business designates to have permission to E-file a return on their behalf with the Board of Equalization) and wish to e-file for numerous clients, please Contact Us
  • To complete your return quickly and easily, you will need to report the following information (by fuel type) for all qualified motor vehicles in your fleet during the filing quarter:

    1. Total miles (taxable and non-taxable miles) traveled in all IFTA jurisdictions. 
    2. Total non-IFTA miles (taxable and non-taxable miles) traveled in all non-IFTA jurisdictions. 
    3. Total gallons of fuel placed in the tank in all jurisdictions (IFTA and non-IFTA).
    4. The name of each jurisdiction you traveled in.
    5. Total miles traveled in each IFTA jurisdiction.
    6. Total tax-paid gallons of fuel purchased and placed in the tank in each jurisdiction.
